JaySmitt Labs
The short version: Driftwood & Bone has no accounts and no servers. Your progress is saved on your own device and never sent to us. We do not collect your name, your email, your photos, your location or your contacts, and we do not use any analytics or tracking software of our own. The one thing that does collect data is the advertising service that shows ads inside the game, and everything it collects is described below.
This privacy policy applies to the Driftwood & Bone game for mobile devices (iOS and Android), together with any related services operated by JaySmitt Labs (collectively, the "Application"). JaySmitt Labs is hereby referred to as the "Service Provider".
None. The Application has no sign-up, no login, and no user account. It never asks for your name, email address, phone number, date of birth or any other personal detail, and there is no way to send us personal information through the game itself.
If you choose to email our support address, we will of course have whatever you write to us in that email. We use it only to answer you.
If you choose Report a problem in the game's Settings, the game opens a message in your own email app, addressed to support@jaysmittlabs.com. To help us find the problem, the game adds the game's version and build number, your device model and operating system version, and the last place you visited on the game's map. You can see all of this before you send it, and nothing is sent unless you send the email yourself. When you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write or attach, and we use them only to reply to you and to fix the problem.
Your saved game — your position on the island, the items in your satchel, the boats and relics you have recovered, your settings and your purchases — is stored locally on your device using the operating system's standard storage. It is not transmitted to the Service Provider, and we have no ability to see it, read it or recover it.
Deleting the Application from your device deletes this data.
If you have turned on your device's own backup service (iCloud on iOS, Google Backup on Android), your device operating system may include the Application's saved data in that backup. That backup is between you and Apple or Google and is governed by their policies, not ours.
The Application requests one permission: vibration, used for haptic feedback when you interact with the game. It does not request access to your camera, microphone, photos, files, location, contacts, calendar or health data, and it cannot access any of them.
The Application displays advertisements supplied by Google AdMob, which is the only third-party service inside the game. AdMob is how the game can be free to play. To serve and measure those ads, Google collects and receives:
This information is collected by Google and handled under Google's privacy policy for partner sites and apps. The Service Provider does not receive this data about you individually; we see only aggregate reporting, such as how many ads were shown.
The Application contains no analytics software, no crash-reporting software and no advertising software other than AdMob. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with data brokers.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you will be asked for your consent choices before personalised advertising is used, and you can change those choices later from the game's Settings screen.
The Application offers optional one-time purchases. All payments are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. The Service Provider never sees or stores your payment card details, billing address or app store account credentials. Your purchase history with those stores is governed by Apple's and Google's own policies.
One area of the game shows a page about our other products, with links to jaysmittlabs.com and to our other applications. If you tap one, your device's browser opens that website and its own privacy policy applies from that point. The game does not pass any information about you to those pages.
Driftwood & Bone is a general-audience game. It is not directed to children under 13 years of age (or such higher age as required by applicable law), and the Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal information from children or market the Application to them. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us at support@jaysmittlabs.com so that it can be deleted.
Because the Application holds no account and stores nothing about you on our systems, there is generally no personal data of yours for us to retrieve, correct or delete. Where you nonetheless wish to make a request — for example about an email you sent us, or about data held by Google as our advertising partner — contact us at support@jaysmittlabs.com and we will assist and direct you to the right place.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete personal information, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. The Service Provider does not sell personal information. Sharing of an advertising identifier with Google for personalised advertising may be treated as "sharing" under California law; you can opt out using the device settings listed above. To exercise your rights, contact support@jaysmittlabs.com.
Google, as our advertising partner, may process data in countries outside your country of residence, including outside the European Economic Area, under the safeguards described in its own policies. The Service Provider itself does not transfer your personal data, because it does not hold any.
Because the Application stores your data only on your own device and transmits nothing to us, the principal protection for your game data is your device's own security. Communications between the Application and Google's advertising service use encrypted connections.
If a data breach occurs that affects personal data for which the Service Provider is responsible, we will notify affected users in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
The Service Provider may update this Privacy Policy from time to time and will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy here with a new effective date.
If you have any questions about privacy while using the Application, please contact the Service Provider by email at support@jaysmittlabs.com.
Effective date: September 9, 2026
